1. The click before
For some strange reason, with my first total station, the transfer cable got damaged a couple of times. Although the boys are Careful, We could not find justifications, more than the possibility that, since we did not have a belt, To tie the tail to the cow Have used it for that ... with similar results.
I have seen a transfer cable (like the one shown in the picture) that has the Bombita where the chip is inserted, at the end, it is more efficient than the one at the center. It occurs to me that in that Xder Of desperation inserted it and pulled out the perverse, and that caused the chip to burn.
2. Prepare the station for transfer
Having the transfer cable connected (USB to serial converter), It is indicated that what we hope is to transfer data, and which works:
MEM> JOB> Then we do Enter.
In the next panel we select Comms Output and then Enter.
Then we select the job to transfer. Note that when selected, instead of showing the number of points captured, it changes to the text Oct, Which means it is ready to be transferred.
The following is just select the OK option, with the format SDR33, then a message will appear indicating that it is being transferred, and the amount of points in process. Be careful, this is done until the connection from Prolink has already been configured, which is explained below.
3. Configuring the Prolink
The project. For this, we do File> New Project, And assign the name of the file, which will be stored in the format SPP. This can be opened in the future, in case we close the program and need to return to the same project. A new project is made for each JOBIf not ... they'll tell me.
The connection. Now press the reception icon, or press File> Send-receive. Then the download panel will appear, from where we are going to configure some parameters:
En Settings, We will establish that the port to use will be the COM4, The baud rate we chose 1200Parity none, Data bits 8 And stop bits 1. This is done only once, and sometimes more than one port needs to be tested.
With the button Connect, The connection is tested, and in case of finding it, the visible station will appear with the name:
Powerset File SDR.
Also, the button changes from Connect To the option Disconnect.
The transference. Once selected, with the transfer button (center arrow), Activates the download.
Eye, at this moment the sending must be activated from the total station, mentioned at the end of the 2 subsection.
At the end, the complete transfer message should appear. How happy, the cow did not damage the cable.
Import / Export. So far, what we have done is transfer the data set. In order to import them to the panel, we do File> Import, We select the downloaded package and then we can see the raw information.
What comes next is to export the points to DXF. For this it is done Fillet > Exoprt, And the alternative of points with annotations is chosen.
