How to view themed maps in Google Earth

Until a while ago I thought it was not possible to see a map in Google Earth that had a themed fill as it had been Exported from Microstation or ArcView ... well things change with use.

This is the original map, a vector map with color fill in the shape of a shape, but when I showed it in Google Earth I got this view:

I had always used to open Google Earth in DirectX mode, and the only way to see the imported figures of a shape was as outlines, because the fill was shaking and a crazy thing was seen; note that the lower quadrant shows the fillings well, but above it you can't see anything and the other quadrants deform the fill. I always thought it was about memory but now see just by using the OpenGL mode the problems of shaking shapes disappear and even the line styles are better visualized.

To open Google Earth in this way, you have to select it in the start menu as shown in the image below.

  2. Advice: For those friends who do not have the possibility to open GE in Open GL mode due to a not very powerful video card, this problem can be solved with a little trick: Assign the polygons a height relative to the ground of 1 or 2 meters. That way you can see them correctly. To do this, right click on the polygon name (in the left panel), “Properties” > “Altitude” > “Relative to Ground”.
