Amazing questions about CAD / GIS technologies

You have to be behind the statistics of Google Analytics to see some surprising questions or spend time in Yahoo Answers to not lose your sense of humor. I would like to respond to each one of them but my irony is dangerous and even more so if this is a post programmed via Wordpress and Live Writer while traveling.

1 How do I run ArcGIS?

Heck, it's surprising but this question exists 14 times !!! So, so they don't see that I'm bad, here's the mega answer:

arcgis arcmap 9x

1.1. Click the "Start" button.

1.2. Click on "All Programs".

1.3 Click on "ArcGIS".

And finally clicking on "ArcMap" with the left mouse button.

The step can be summarized to install ArcGIS and then read a file called "readme_first.txt"

2 How do I view live images from Google Earth?

As most experts say, you right click on the image layer and select the option "view real time NASA satellite" as it appears in this link.

3 Which program is more useful, Linux or AutoCAD?

As Txus would say, my God! If you don't believe it, look it up on Yahoo Answers, I don't put the link so as not to give myself color for the 10 points that came out like hitting a drunk.

4 Why does AutoCAD close?

I guess because it was open

5. Can I install AutoCAT on my machine with 2 GB?

If you mean your Toyota ... I do not think so, if you mean AutoCAD, either.

6 Has anyone used AutoCAD?

Yes, I sure do.

7 Where to download the keygen for AutoCAD 2009?

And give him

8. Is it possible to have AutoCAD 12, 2004 and 2009 installed on the same machine?

Yes, I would like to imagine why.

9. Where can I find Small World GIS information?

In Google's first response

10. How can I plan using Plan B?

Ummm, do you mean that pill known as "the second day"? You should consult a doctor.

I'm sorry if my sense of humor today was not right.

I return on Saturday.

  1. As far as I know there are not many ways, unless you buy a cad-lock application license

If you give it to someone who does not know much about AutoCAD, you can make all the content one block, and then insert it as two rows, two columns and with 0 distance. This makes it impossible to touch that object, therefore it can not be exploited either. But you can re-insert it and that's where all the security ended.

But one trick might be to create blocks of different layers or areas of the drawing, with different insertion coordinates

Another option may be to give it as dwf, although you can not see it with AutoCAD

  2. Hello, my question is the following:
Of what form I can do so that the content of an autocad plane can not be modified, apart from padlocking the layers or making it block, the idea is that it can be sent and that they do not modify it and that it is not a PDF.
I appreciate your attention, good day.

  3. Hello…

One question, I hope it does not leave the forum, but I have been looking for a way to export files from ArcGIS to EPANET. I am infinitely grateful for your help ...

    Regards…
