I Latin American Congress of Valorization
With the objective of offering the possibility of accessing the knowledge and experience of international and national experts in the subject of valorization, The Lincoln Institute is announcing the First Latin American Valuation Congress, which serves to know the experiences of various Colombian cities and others countries, in order to achieve establish the key aspects within the model that each city adopts for the collection of property tax.
This will be in Bogotá, Colombia from March 11 to 12, 2009, in collaboration with the Bogota Real Estate Exchange. Among the exhibitors we have:

The valuation contribution is a real tax on real estate and its main objective is the financing of the construction of works to improve mobility, public space and the competitiveness of the city. However, the experience of different cities has shown that the success of this contribution depends on the design, planning and execution of the model adopted in each city.
The course is aimed at experienced Latin American professionals such as real estate professionals, property appraisers, promoters, developers, builders, architects, lawyers, economists, accountants, public officials involved in territorial planning and land management processes and, in general, all people linked to urban development.
